Claudia Haro: From Rising Starlet to Infamous Figure – Joe Pesci’s Ex-wife’s Troubled Past Unveiled

In the 1990s, Claudia Haro was a rising star in Hollywood, making a name for herself with notable roles in several high-profile films.

Throughout the decade, she was married twice and reportedly had two daughters, one with each of her former husbands.

However, her life took a dark turn after her second marriage came to an end.

Despite her promising career, Claudia's fame was overshadowed by her involvement in criminal activities, particularly her role in conspiring to murder her second husband.

Her reputation grew infamous, but it didn't diminish the notoriety associated with her name.

Throughout her ordeal, Claudia found support from her first spouse, who stood by her side as she faced the charges against her.

While she is believed to have two children, only one has been officially confirmed as her offspring.

Due to the outcome of her trial, which also implicated her younger brother, Claudia was unable to be present in her daughter's life until much later, specifically in the late 2010s.

Born Claudia Martha Haro, the actress, often referred to as Marty, had a mysterious background and limited information about her family origins.

She had a brother named Manny Haro.

Claudia appeared in five films between 1994 and 1997 alongside her ex-husband, .

In the 1994 fantasy horror film “New Nightmare,” she portrayed the New Line Receptionist.

That same year, Claudia starred alongside and in “With Honors” as Marty, and in “Jimmy Hollywood” as a Newscaster.

In 1995, she appeared in “Casino” as Trudy, while her then-husband played the lead role of Nicky Santoro.

Her final film credit came in the 1997 crime comedy “Gone Fishin',” starring Joe Pesci and Danny Glover.

Joe Pesci and Claudia Haro initially tied the knot on September 7, 1988.

However, their marriage ended in divorce four years later, in 1992.

Reports suggest that the couple had a daughter named Tiffany Pesci, but conflicting information exists, stating that Joe already had a 25-year-old daughter with the same name in 1992.

Two years after their divorce, Joe revealed during an interview that he and Claudia had rekindled their relationship and were living a quiet and modest life on the Jersey Shore.

Whenever Joe traveled to Los Angeles for work, he would rent a car and a place to stay.

Claudia Haro's connection to the attempted assassination of Garrett Warren, a former professional stuntman turned writer and director, shocked many.

Garrett's notable works include films like “Avatar,” “Alice In Wonderland,” “Divergent,” and “Alita Battle Angel.”

He also trained actors such as Zoe Saldana, Jessica Alba, and for their fight scenes, thanks to his background as a former World Champion Martial Artist.

In March 1998, Garrett married Claudia, and they welcomed a daughter together in December of that year.

However, their marriage ended in divorce in July 1999, with joint custody of their child being granted the following year.

Unfortunately, their ties didn't cease there.

In May 2000, while Garrett was spending a quiet evening with his daughter, he fell victim to a horrifying attack in his own home.

He was shot four times but miraculously survived.

Police investigation into the incident revealed that Claudia had conspired to murder him.

She had enlisted the help of her brother, Manny, to hire a hitman.

Garrett recalled that his suspicions arose from the moment he was rushed to the hospital that fateful evening.

Claudia made another attempt on his life, but fortunately, it never came to fruition.

Claudia was eventually tried for her involvement in the crime and pleaded no contest to two counts of attempted murder.

In April 2012, she was sentenced to twelve years and four months in prison, but she received an early release in August 2019.

Joe Pesci's unwavering belief in Claudia's innocence led him to hire a private investigator to support her case.

The two remained close throughout the ordeal and were often seen together on red carpets, even after Garrett filed for divorce.

However, the private investigator later sued Joe for breach of contract in 2007, claiming that the actor owed over $100,000 for services rendered.

The charges were eventually dropped later that year, bringing an end to the legal battle.
