Courtney Love Slams Brad Pitt over Movie Feud, Claims He Went Too Far

Courtney Love, the 58-year-old singer and former wife of Kurt Cobain, has reiterated her claims against Brad Pitt, accusing the actor of having her fired from the movie Fight Club.

According to Love, Pitt was upset with her after she turned down his suggestion to portray Cobain in a biopic.

Love alleges that she was initially cast as troubled character Marla Singer in the 1999 film, but was ultimately replaced by Helena Bonham Carter.

She claims that director David Fincher informed her of the decision to let her go from the project after receiving a call from Pitt.

During an appearance on Marc Maron's WTF podcast, Love stated, “He fired me because I won't let Brad play Kurt.”

In a recent statement, Love expressed her disappointment with Pitt, saying, “He pushed me a bridge too far.

I don't like the way he does business or wields his power.”

She clarified that her grievances stem from Pitt's alleged persistence regarding her deceased partner, rather than the incident surrounding her role in Fight Club.

Love took to Instagram to share a four-slide statement, explaining that she felt compelled to speak out about the situation now that she is in recovery for drug misuse.

She emphasized the importance of not holding onto resentment, stating, “It's like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies.”

Love revealed that she believed going public was the only way to get Pitt to stop pursuing her deceased partner.

However, Love made it clear that she does not harbor any hatred towards Pitt.

In fact, she stated, “I want him to do better.

I'm not into assault.

C'mon brother Pitt.

I wish you well, truly.”

She also expressed her respect for Helena Bonham Carter, Edward Norton, David Fincher, and Art Linson, all of whom were involved in the film.

Love concluded her statement by stating that she bears no ill will towards anyone associated with Fight Club.
