An interview from 2005 has resurfaced, revealing that Courtney Love had warned aspiring actresses to stay away from Harvey Weinstein.
The footage, taken at the Pamela Anderson Comedy Central Roast, shows a reporter on the red carpet asking Love for advice for young girls moving to Hollywood, as reported by TMZ.
Love, the punk singer-songwriter and frontwoman of “Hole,” hesitated before giving her advice, aware of potential legal consequences.
She finally stated, “If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private party in the Four Seasons, don't go.”
Her bold statement in 2005 came with consequences.
Love revealed on Saturday that she was blacklisted by agents at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for speaking out against Weinstein, despite not being one of his victims.
In a tweet, she expressed, “Although I wasn't one of his victims, I was eternally banned by CAA for speaking out against Harvey Weinstein.”
Interestingly, Love didn't shy away from being seen with the controversial producer in public.
The outlet reported that she was spotted conversing with Weinstein and actress Jessica Chastain at the Sunset Tower
