In her newly released memoir, “Inside Out,” actress Demi Moore delves deep into the complexities of her past relationship with ex-husband Ashton Kutcher.
The 56-year-old actress, who was married to Kutcher for eight years before their divorce in 2013, reveals intimate details about their marriage.
Moore discloses that she went to great lengths to fit into the mold of the woman Kutcher desired.
She admits that she prioritized his needs above her own and even agreed to engage in threesomes to please him.
Moore writes, “I put him first.
So when he expressed his fantasy of bringing a third person into our bed, I didn't say no.
I wanted to show him how great and fun I could be.”
The couple began dating in 2003 after meeting at a dinner with mutual friends and tied the knot in 2005.
However, their relationship began to unravel in 2011, leading to their eventual divorce.
Moore confesses that the threesomes they had left her feeling ashamed.
Despite engaging with what she describes as “good people,” Moore regrets her decision.
She states, “They were good people, but it was still a mistake.
I was strangely flooded with shame, I couldn't shake the feeling that this whole thing was somehow my fault.”
Moore also claims that their involvement in threesomes played a role in Kutcher's infidelity.
According to her, Kutcher justified his actions by stating that introducing a third party into their relationship blurred the lines.
This revelation came to light when a woman, who was just 21 years old at the time, revealed that she had slept with Kutcher during the filming of Moore's 2011 movie “Another Happy Day.”
Moore attests that Kutcher admitted to the affair immediately and subsequently moved out of their home.
In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Moore admitted that she lost herself in the aftermath of her split from Kutcher.
She acknowledged that she had blinded herself to the reality of their crumbling relationship.
The pain and heartbreak led her to cope by breaking her 20-year sobriety and turning to substances such as Vicodin and alcohol.
As a result, her three daughters, Rumer Willis, Scout Willis, and Tallulah Willis, distanced themselves from her, and even her former husband and friend, Bruce Willis, pulled away.
Moore found herself isolated and in despair, weighing just 102 lbs.
Her situation took a dangerous turn in 2012 when she was rushed to the hospital after consuming synthetic marijuana and inhaling nitrous oxide at a party.
Reflecting on her journey, Moore expressed a fundamental question: “How did I get here?”
It was a moment of introspection that forced her to confront her past choices and experiences.
“Inside Out” is now available for purchase, offering readers a deeper understanding of Demi Moore's tumultuous life and her path to self-discovery.
