James Franco Sparks Controversy with Alleged Attempt to Pick Up Teenager
In the world of Hollywood, actor James Franco has found himself at the center of a scandal.
Reports have surfaced claiming that the 35-year-old actor made advances towards a 17-year-old girl, leaving many people feeling uneasy and disturbed by his alleged behavior.
While it's important to note that these claims may be unsubstantiated, screenshots of an online conversation between a young woman named Lucy Clode and someone claiming to be Franco were shared on Gawker.
Unfortunately, these screenshots have since been removed from the internet.
According to the reports, Clode met Franco during a visit to New York City for her early 18th birthday celebration.
It was outside his Broadway production of “Of Mice and Men” where they encountered each other.
In an Instagram video taken by Clode, Franco can be heard saying, “You gotta tag me.”
However, this video has been deleted since then.
It appears that if the conversations are indeed genuine, discussions continued online and through text messages, with the possibility of arranging a meeting at a hotel.
In one message, the person claiming to be Franco asks, “You're single?
.. Should I rent a room?”
Clode, understandably cautious, requests confirmation that the person she is communicating with is, in fact, James Franco.
Two photos are exchanged that strongly resemble Franco, but there is no evidence to suggest that they ever met up.
In response to the growing buzz about the story, Franco took to Twitter to address the allegations.
He vehemently denied any wrongdoing, stating, “I'M NOT!
I HOPE PARENTS KEEP THEIR TEENS AWAY FROM ME.”
Despite his denial, many people on social media platforms like Twitter were quick to label him as “creepy.”
Interestingly, this controversy arises at a time when Franco's new movie, “Palo Alto,” is generating attention.
In the film, he portrays
