Drew Barrymore: Exploring Intimacy and Love Beyond the Sheets

, a seasoned actress and talk-show host, delved into intimate details during a conversation with Ross Matthews on her podcast, Drew's News.

The discussion revolved around the Netflix series How to Build a s** Room, where Barrymore revealed her hidden desires, stating, “I have a wild side, but it resides in the depths of my mind, a secret world just for me.”

Acknowledging her adventurous past, the 47-year-old star confessed, “I've dabbled in everything.

I've experimented with various endeavors — hence my current sense of monotony.”

When questioned by Matthews about her surprises in the bedroom, the Never Been Kissed star disclosed, “I've always been curious to explore new things, whether I found them appealing or not.”

In a light-hearted moment, Barrymore shared her contentment without the need for an elaborate s** room, humorously mentioning, “I'm perfectly fine with the classic ‘mish posish' in bed,” using slang for the missionary position.

Reflecting on her youthful vigor, she remarked, “Those days are behind me now.

As you mentioned, it's all about being drained.

In my youth, energy was abundant, unlike today.”

Barrymore's recent revelations follow her previous remarks made a month ago, where she expressed going through extended periods without intimacy.

This admission came during her daytime talk show while discussing 's celibacy preparation for a film role in Silence.

Recalling the incident, she shared, “I pondered why six months didn't seem like an eternity to me.

I simply shrugged it off.”

In a subsequent blog post in October, Barrymore elaborated on her evolving perspective towards intimacy.

She highlighted her journey of comprehending the disparity between physical connections and emotional love, noting a significant realization with her therapist who emphasized, “s** is an expression of love, not synonymous with love itself.”

As a mother of two daughters, Olive and Frankie, from her previous marriage with Will Kopelman, Barrymore emphasized that while her views on relationships may shift in the future, her current focus lies elsewhere.

Addressing misconceptions about her feelings toward intimacy, she clarified, “I don't harbor any disdain towards physical intimacy.

I've simply reached a point where I discern the distinction between love and physicality.”

Expressing gratitude for the abundance of love in her life, including self-love for the first time, Barrymore concluded her reflections with a poignant acknowledgment of life's unexpected turns and the impact they have had on her perceptions of love and relationships.
