Eddie Redmayne confessed to feeling “intimidated” by Britain's Prince William.
The ‘Theory of Everything' actor, who shared his school days at Eton College with the royal, described him as a “lovely man.”
However, he humorously admitted to being scared of the Prince during rugby matches due to his exceptional skills on the field.
Redmayne playfully remarked that while he was not an intimidating figure himself, Prince William definitely had a more imposing presence.
Despite having not met the Prince since their school days, Redmayne fondly remembered him as a kind individual.
The 33-year-old actor, who recently got married to Hannah Bagshawe, shared his happiness about married life.
During his acceptance speech at the Golden Globes, where he won Best Actor in a Drama, he mentioned that marriage has been a positive experience so far, joking that it would be concerning if he had already messed things up within a couple of weeks.
Reflecting on his time at Eton College in Berkshire, England, Redmayne sympathized with Prince William's position on the rugby team.
He recalled how everyone on the team was eager to tackle the future king of England, resulting in Prince William having to withstand numerous hits.
Redmayne expressed his empathy for the Prince, acknowledging the challenges he faced due to his royal status.
