Elliot Page Shares Trans Joy in Shirtless Snap, Reflects on Juno Regret

Elliot Page, well-known for his role in “The Umbrella Academy,” delighted fans with a stunning shirtless photo that showcased his top surgery scars.

The actor expressed his “trans joy” while also admitting regret over his involvement in the hit film Juno.

In the picture, taken in a sunny backyard, Elliot appeared content as he donned only a black baseball cap and a silver chain around his neck.

With a cropped hairstyle and small tattoos over his pecs, including one that reads “Mr” and another that says “Yours,” Elliot proudly displayed the faint scars from his top surgery, flashing a smile for the camera.

Accompanying the snapshot was a heartfelt caption in which Elliot shared his personal journey.

He revealed how dysphoria used to be particularly challenging during the summer when he would feel uncomfortable in just a t-shirt or suffocated under layers of clothing.

However, he expressed immense joy at being able to bask in the sun and experience a newfound sense of freedom within his body.

Elliot expressed gratitude for the gender affirming care he has received and promised to share more about his journey soon, using the hashtag #TransJoy.

Fans flocked to the comments section to shower Elliot with compliments and support.

Amber Rachdi, known for her appearance on “My 600lb Life,” enthusiastically wrote, “Heck yeah, dude!

Enjoy the good weather.”

Another fan gushed, “Omggg you look so good!”

while someone else expressed their excitement for their upcoming top surgery, thanking Elliot for the inspiration.

Recently, Elliot opened up about a scene in the 2007 comedy-drama Juno that he regrets.

In the film, Elliot played the title character, Juno, a teenager who becomes pregnant after having s** with a friend.

In one particular scene, Juno discusses baby names with Mark, played by Jason Bateman, who plans to adopt the baby.

When Mark suggests the name Madison, Juno quips, “Isn’t that a little gay?”

Elliot, who now uses he/they pronouns after coming out as trans in 2020, admitted that he didn’t fully grasp the implications of that line at the time but now recognizes its insensitivity.

In an interview with Bustle, Elliot expressed his disappointment with the presence of homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia in many movies from his childhood, emphasizing that he does not excuse such behavior.

As Elliot continues to share his personal journey, it is evident that he is embracing his authentic self and finding joy in being able to live his truth.

The actor’s candidness serves as an inspiration for others navigating similar experiences, as well as a reminder of the importance of eliminating harmful stereotypes and promoting inclusivity in the entertainment industry.
