Back in the day, the world almost saw Emilia Clarke stepping into the shoes of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey, a role eventually played by Dakota Johnson.
However, Clarke made the bold decision to turn down the opportunity primarily because of the film's n^dty requirements.
This aspect of her decision-making process was initially brought to light in 2015, though she didn't delve much into the specifics back then.
Having previously bared it all as Daenerys in Game of Thrones, it was a choice that she recently elaborated on in a new conversation with The Hollywood Reporter.
During her initial mention of the matter in 2015, Clarke succinctly stated, “I'd done n^dty before and was concerned with being labeled for doing it again.”
Fast forward to 2019, in a discussion at The Hollywood Reporter's Drama Actress Roundtable, Clarke delved deeper into her apprehensions about potentially being typecast due to nudity.
While she commended the director of the first Fifty Shades film, Sam Taylor-Johnson, Clarke also shed light on the aftermath of her n^de scenes as Daenerys on Game of Thrones.
“Sincerely, Sam is a visionary,” Clarke expressed.
“I hold great admiration for her and found her creative vision to be exquisite.

It's incredibly exasperating, and I'm utterly fatigued by it because my intent was to embody the character — not to provide material for someone's gaze, for heaven's sake.
Thus, when presented with the prospect of entering a scenario entirely centered on sensuality, s=x, and nudity, I immediately knew that I couldn't go down that path.
I had already experienced being pigeonholed due to past choices, so agreeing to such a role would mean subjecting myself to a perpetual cycle where I'd be incapable of
