Emily Blunt Discloses Feeling Unwell Post Kissing Specific Co-Stars While Shooting

, aged 41, is openly discussing the repercussions of lack of chemistry with a fellow actor, especially during filming intimate scenes.

In an interview on The Show on April 30, the British actress shared insights on how she establishes rapport with her co-stars for each movie.

She disclosed to host that there have been instances where she has felt a connection with people she did not particularly like.

When Stern, aged 70, directly inquired, “Who?”

Blunt simply replied, “I'm not going to disclose that information.”

Blunt expressed, “There have been situations where I have had chemistry with individuals with whom I haven't had a pleasant working experience,” while still keeping the identities private.

Discussing the complexity of creating chemistry, she mentioned, “Sometimes it's peculiar.

You might share a natural bond off-screen, but it doesn't translate on camera.”

Blunt emphasized that chemistry is intangible and cannot be artificially produced.

She further elaborated on her approach to fostering chemistry with a co-star by finding at least one positive attribute to enhance their on-screen relationship.

Blunt shared, “I strive to discover something admirable about everyone.

It could be a simple thing like their laughter or manner of communication.

By focusing on these aspects, I try to establish a better connection.”

Despite her efforts to ignite on-screen chemistry, Blunt admitted to feeling nauseous during certain moments, particularly when engaging in kissing scenes with fellow actors.

Addressing the topic of kissing on set, Stern asked Blunt if she had ever felt repulsed, to which she candidly responded, “Absolutely.”

While reflecting on her recent film projects such as Jungle Cruise with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, A Quiet Place alongside her husband John Krasinski, and Oppenheimer featuring Cillian Murphy, Blunt highlighted her upcoming action-comedy, The Fall Guy, starring .

During her appearance on Stern's show, Blunt praised Gosling, affirming him as a delightful person to work with, expressing admiration for his family as well.

Blunt's revelations about uncomfortable on-set experiences echo similar sentiments from actress , who recently recalled distressing auditions where she was asked to engage in multiple kissing scenes to test chemistry.

In an interview with V Magazine, Hathaway criticized the industry practice of pressuring actors into intimate scenarios for casting purposes, acknowledging the evolution in awareness and approach towards such auditions over time.
