French actress Eva Green has come forward to join the growing number of women who have spoken out against producer Harvey Weinstein, accusing him of s**ual harassment.
Green, known for her roles in films such as Casino Royale and Sin City, revealed that she was left feeling “shocked and disgusted” after Weinstein groped her.
The ordeal only came to an end when she had to physically push him away.
Taking to her Twitter account, she detailed the incident at length.
The decision to speak out publicly was prompted by Green's mother, Marlene Jobert, who appeared on a program on Europe Radio 1 and claimed that Weinstein had threatened to ruin her daughter's career after she rejected his advances.
Jobert described Weinstein as a “horrible man” who had offered her daughter success in exchange for s**ual favors.
Additionally, Weinstein allegedly warned Jobert that he would blacklist her from working with other directors.
According to Jobert, these incidents occurred in either 2010 or 2011.
Recalling the events, Jobert expressed her initial horror and desire to take action against Weinstein.
However, Green insisted that it was too dangerous, as she believed him to be capable of even greater harm.
Jobert has now decided to speak out in order to increase pressure on Weinstein, emphasizing that such behavior cannot go unpunished.
She referred to him as an “odious character” who must face legal consequences.
Green cited the bravery of other survivors who had shared their stories about Weinstein as an inspiration
