In a shocking revelation, a former Hollywood bodyguard turned collector has disclosed that an intimate video purportedly featuring former President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, and the iconic Marilyn Monroe is set to be auctioned this upcoming week.
The undisclosed tape, believed to showcase the trio in compromising situations, was reportedly confiscated by the Tulane County Sheriff's Office after collector William Castleberry failed to meet a financial obligation.
William Castleberry disclosed to RadarOnline that the 8 mm footage captures the alleged encounter but emphasized that he refrained from making it public out of respect for Joe DiMaggio, the renowned baseball star.
Scheduled for auction on Tuesday alongside other memorabilia amassed by Castleberry, the controversial tape has stirred a frenzy of curiosity among potential bidders.
Castleberry, 56, expressed deep remorse over the situation, stating, ‘It's authentic.
I safeguarded it for years, refraining from its release as a mark of reverence towards Joe DiMaggio… I am distressed by the turn of events and striving to gather funds to reclaim it.'
The loss of the tape ensued following demands for a substantial $90,000 payment while Castleberry was settling a $200,000 debt stemming from the sale of a counterfeit statue.
Attorney Ryan Sullivan, representing parties affected by the fake statue transaction, confirmed the existence of the tape and the recovery of an 8 mm film canister during repossession activities at Castleberry's residence.
Sullivan clarified that he has not viewed the tape and thus cannot authenticate its contents, adding, ‘The tape's actual content remains unknown; it could align with Castleberry's claims or present an entirely different scenario — only upon acquisition and viewing will the truth emerge.'
The minimum bidding price for Castleberry's collection, including the controversial tape, stands at $200,000, signaling a potentially lucrative opportunity for intrigued collectors.
Previously, revelations from the family of private investigator Fred Otash indicated his involvement in surveilling JFK and Monroe during their alleged affair, claiming possession of the incendiary tape, as reported by RadarOnline.
With a looming deadline until Tuesday to secure the necessary funds for privacy preservation, Castleberry faces a critical juncture, failing which the anticipated auction will proceed as planned.
