Recently unearthed text messages purportedly sent by Jim Carrey to his former girlfriend, Cathriona White, have shed light on a disturbing exchange between the actor and White.
The messages reportedly show Carrey advising White to take the morning after pill after a s–ual encounter and making inappropriate references to his anatomy while discussing his deceased parents.
The emergence of these new texts came to light during the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Mark Burton against Carrey.
One particular message allegedly sent by Carrey to White on February 13, 2013, urged her to take the morning after pill, just a week before White tested positive for Herpes 1, Herpes 2, and gonorrhea.
The lawsuit claimed that Carrey was responsible for transmitting these diseases to White.
Subsequently, newly released photos captured the couple looking happy and content during a Valentine's Day dinner, shortly after the contentious pill message.
Another troubling exchange between White and Carrey involved a sentimental candle symbolizing their late parents.
White expressed feeling a warm, loving sensation upon seeing a photo of the candle, to which Carrey abruptly interjected with an inappropriate inquiry about his genitalia.
These revelations have sparked outrage, with Burton, White's estranged husband, accusing Carrey of callous behavior and insensitivity.
Burton condemned Carrey's alleged actions, citing explicit texts and manipulative behavior towards White, especially concerning her health issues.
The lawsuit also presented additional texts showcasing White's continued affection towards Carrey even after their breakup, contrasting sharply with Carrey's persistent requests for legal agreements post-separation.
Burton argued that Carrey's insistence on having White sign a contract aimed to shield him from potential legal action regarding the transmission of STDs to White.
In a distressing turn of events, White penned a letter to Carrey in 2013, describing herself as ‘damaged goods' after learning about her medical condition.
The letter detailed White's emotional turmoil, citing feelings of disrespect, degradation, and profound hurt caused by her deteriorating relationship with Carrey.
Tragically, these distressing circumstances culminated in White's untimely death, with Burton attributing her suicide partly to the trauma inflicted by Carrey.
The complaint further accused Carrey of providing the prescription drugs that White used to end her life in September 2015.
Carrey vehemently refuted these allegations, denouncing them as driven by greed and asserting that Burton's claims were baseless.
The contentious legal battle continues, revealing a tumultuous and troubling saga between Carrey and White, marked by betrayal, heartbreak, and legal entanglements.
