Ezra Miller, renowned for his role in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, has expressed that he does not perceive himself as either a man or a woman.
The American actor, who publicly identified as queer in 2012, shared with The Hollywood Reporter: “I don’t identify.
Like, forget that.”
Explaining further, Miller stated, “Queer simply means I do not conform to societal norms regarding gender.
I do not identify as a man or a woman.
In fact, I barely identify as a human.”
Miller will be reprising his character as Credence Barebone in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts film.
Miller, who gained recognition through The Perks of Being a Wallflower, also disclosed a personal experience related to the #MeToo movement.
Though he chose not to disclose the names of the individuals involved, Miller recounted the incident, saying, “They offered me wine when I was underage.
They approached me, asking if I wanted to be part of their movie about a gay revolution.
I declined, recognizing them as monsters.”
The 26-year-old actor emphasized that one positive aspect of the present era is the ability to confront and denounce unacceptable behavior such as this.
“We have endured.
That’s what Hollywood represents.
I thought we were all aware that we are essentially s** workers,” he candidly remarked.
What Kind of Partner Does Ezra Miller Seek?
In a recent interview with GQ, Ezra Miller revealed his desire for a partner who would sacrifice everything for him.
Speaking from his expansive 95-acre farm in Vermont, Miller explained how his roosters exhibit selflessness and bravery by protecting the chickens.
By feigning weakness and vulnerability, the roosters draw the attention of predators, thus safeguarding the female members of their group.
“That’s what masculinity is,” Miller asserted.
“I am willing to pretend to be feeble and susceptible, so you attack me instead of any of the women in my circle.
Do you understand?”
He added, “I am searching for a man who embodies these characteristics—a rooster-like man.”
Making Waves at Comic-Con
