In a recent update from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station, it has been revealed that actor Gary Busey has admitted to being involved in a hit-and-run accident.
The incident, which took place at a Malibu shopping center, sparked an investigation after an unidentified woman claimed that Busey had collided with her back bumper and then fled the scene without providing any insurance or contact information.
TMZ was the first to report on this, sharing video footage of the woman confronting Busey about the incident and showcasing the visible damage to her car.
The station's spokesperson has now confirmed that Busey did indeed leave the scene without exchanging his information.
However, it was later discovered that when detectives reached out to him at his residence, he cooperated by providing them with his statement, insurance details, as well as information about his vehicle and driver.
Fortunately for Busey, the woman involved in the accident has no intention of pressing charges against him.
Her sole desire is to be compensated for the minor damages inflicted upon her vehicle.
This decision alleviates the legal consequences that Busey could have faced otherwise.
Despite the news surrounding this unfortunate incident, there has been no immediate response from Busey's representative regarding the matter.
Gary Busey, a highly accomplished character actor with a prolific career spanning several decades, is widely recognized for his notable performances
