In the year 2017, Harvey Weinstein expressed strong negative sentiments towards Jennifer Aniston when a journalist contacted him for a news story, as disclosed in recently unsealed court documents.
Weinstein's disturbing email response on October 31, 2017, to a reporter inquiring about an unsubstantiated claim of Weinstein groping Aniston included the shocking statement, “Jen Aniston should be killed.”
Variety had the opportunity to examine this email at the New York City criminal courthouse where around 1,000 pages of documents were unveiled just prior to Weinstein's upcoming sentencing.
During the same month in 2017, the National Enquirer approached Sallie Hofmeister, Weinstein's crisis management representative at the time, for a response concerning the alleged s–ual assault on Jennifer Aniston by Harvey Weinstein.
In correspondence with the reporter, it was revealed that the National Enquirer was planning to publish a piece asserting that Jennifer Aniston had been a victim of s–ual misconduct by Weinstein.
Jennifer Aniston's spokesperson, Stephen Huvane, refuted these claims, stating, “The National Enquirer claims are baseless.
Jennifer has not experienced any form of harassment or assault by Harvey,” as conveyed to Variety via email.
The disclosure of the Aniston-related email is just a fraction of the extensive 1,000-page collection of documents unveiled in Weinstein's ongoing legal proceedings this week.
Among these documents are numerous desperate appeals made by Weinstein subsequent to the explosive reports that led to his downfall and ignited the #MeToo movement.
The trove of documents encompasses a plethora of emails, shedding light on Weinstein's network of high-profile contacts, including communications with influential figures such as power agents from CAA and WME, network executives from NBCUniversal, as well as prominent individuals
