How Grace Kelly’s Boyfriend Discovered Her Affair with a Wealthy Playboy

's relationship with Prince Rainier III is well-known, as it transformed her from an actress to Princess Grace of Monaco.

However, a new book reveals details about her romantic life before she became a movie star.

In “Hitchcock's Blondes,” Laurence Leamer writes about the time when Kelly's acting professor boyfriend discovered that she was seeing other men.

Find out how a bracelet gave her away and who had given it to her.

Kelly began dating her teacher while she was still a student.

In the book, Leamer explains that Kelly dated her teacher Don Richardson after moving from Philadelphia to New York City to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Richardson, who was 30 years old at the time, later found success as a TV director.

Richardson learned about Kelly's other relationships.

According to Leamer, Kelly was involved with other men while dating Richardson, including Claudius Charles Phillippe, the banquet manager of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, and Aly Khan, a millionaire playboy and diplomat who was also Rita Hayworth's third husband.

One evening, Kelly invited Richardson to her apartment, and after they made love, she paraded before him in various gowns, catching his attention with a gold bracelet adorned with emeralds.

Richardson recognized the bracelet from a woman who had slept with Aly Khan, known for his generosity in giving jewelry to his lovers.

Kelly wasn't affected by the breakup.

After Richardson snatched the bracelet and threw it into a fish tank before storming off, Kelly remained calm.

She even reached into the water to retrieve the bracelet.

Although Richardson was upset, Leamer notes that he was also seeing other people during their relationship.

Richardson criticized Kelly later on.

In a 2012 interview with the Daily Express, Richardson, who passed away in 1996, expressed his opinion about Kelly, saying, “She screwed everybody she came into contact with who was able to do anything good for her.”

He also mentioned that other girls had received the same bracelet from Aly Khan as a token of appreciation.

Kelly's life took a major turn after the breakup.

When Kelly ended her relationship with Richardson, she had not yet achieved fame as an actor or become a princess.

She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1949 and began appearing on TV shows and in plays.

In 1951, she made her first movie, “Fourteen Hours,” which launched her career.

She went on to win an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1955 and starred in several successful films, including three with .

Kelly retired from acting in 1956 when she married Prince Rainier III and became the Princess of Monaco.

They had three children together and remained married until her death in 1982.
