Love scenes in movies often appear steamy and passionate on screen, but the reality behind them can be quite different.
This was the case for Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas during the filming of Original Sin, a film that explores themes of love and betrayal.
In the movie, Jolie's character pretends to fall in love with a wealthy man played by Banderas, leading to an intimate moment between the two.
However, Banderas revealed that the scene was not as sizzling as it appeared.
In an interview with Daily Mail, he discussed the technical aspects of filming a love scene with Jolie and how he didn't actually touch her.
Banderas compared the experience to performing a scene where you pretend to fall off a horse, knowing that the fall is fake.
Similarly, the intimate scene in Original Sin had to be made to look real, even though it wasn't.
Banderas explained, “We had to do a very intense s** scene in Original Sin but, of course, it's nothing like the way it looks on screen.”
The reason for this discrepancy was Jolie's tattoos.
The makeup artists had to cover them up with makeup, which meant that Banderas couldn't touch his co-star for fear of ruining their work.
He also mentioned that there were constant interruptions during filming, with people adjusting their hands and fixing their hair every few seconds.
“I couldn't touch her because she had tattoos everywhere and they had to be covered with makeup, so I had to try not to dislodge it.
And when there are 150 guys around you and every 20 seconds they shout ‘Cut' and then mess with your hair and the positioning of your arms, it's not s**y at all,” Banderas shared.
The chemistry between Banderas and Jolie was so convincing on screen that rumors of an affair between them began circulating.
However, both actors vehemently denied these allegations.
Banderas, who was married to Melanie Griffith at the time, emphasized his love for his wife, while Jolie defended her relationship with Billy Bob Thornton.
Jolie stated in an interview with ABC News that assuming something sinister was happening behind closed doors was insulting and angering.
She made it clear that both she and Banderas were deeply committed to their respective marriages and had no desire for anything more.
In conclusion, love scenes in movies may appear passionate, but the reality behind them can be quite different.
The experience of filming a love scene with Angelina Jolie was unsexy for Antonio Banderas due to her tattoos and the constant interruptions on set.
It is important not to make assumptions or spread rumors about actors' personal lives based on their on-screen chemistry.
