Golden Globe-winning actor Jane Seymour has opened up about the challenges she faced dealing with infidelity in her multiple marriages.
Seymour, known for her role as Bond girl Solitaire in the film Live and Let Die, has been married and divorced four times, including to theatre director Michael Attenborough, Geoffrey Planer, manager David Flynn, and actor-director James Keach.
During a recent interview, the 72-year-old Seymour discussed the breakdown of each marriage and shared her perspective on relationships today.
When asked if infidelity was her “ultimate red line,” she replied, “If I have been replaced, I am very happy to move along.”
Despite fighting for her marriages on every occasion, Seymour admitted, “I’m not very good at betrayal.
I don’t do well with it.”
Seymour married James Keach in 1993, a year after her third divorce.
The couple had two children together through IVF, twins John and Kristopher.
However, they separated in 2015 after Seymour allegedly discovered Keach’s affair with someone she knew.
When questioned about why anyone would want to leave her, Seymour speculated that her busy work schedule might have made her partners feel that someone else could be more interesting.
Despite the challenges she faced, Seymour maintains a good relationship with Keach.
However, she referred to his current partner as “not my favorite person.”
For the past nine years, Seymour has been in a relationship with producer David Green, whom she met through a mutual friend.
Although Green proposed, Seymour stated that she has no intention of getting married again, explaining, “I just said I would never put a number on his name.
It would be the most horrible thing in the world.”
Seymour continues to pursue her acting career, with recent projects including the 2021 Australian drama Ruby’s Choice, which explores the life of a woman with early onset dementia, and the 2020 comedy-drama Friendsgiving, featuring an ensemble cast that includes Kat Dennings, Wanda Sykes, and Chelsea Peretti.
