A recent incident at a Met Gala after-party at the Standard Hotel in NYC has caught the attention of many as Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles, was seen launching a fierce attack on Jay Z inside an elevator.
The entire altercation was captured on surveillance video and obtained by TMZ.
In the footage, Jay Z, Beyonce, and Solange can be seen entering the elevator before things take a drastic turn.
Solange begins yelling at Jay Z before physically lashing out in a violent manner, kicking and swinging at him with aggression.
Despite the presence of what seems to be a bodyguard trying to intervene and restrain Solange, she still manages to land multiple blows on Jay Z, including a kick that he attempts to block without retaliating.
Throughout the ordeal, Beyonce remains passive, choosing not to interfere physically.
Notably, during the scuffle, the bodyguard discreetly activates the emergency stop button on the 12th floor, possibly to prevent further escalation and maintain privacy during the altercation.
At one point, Solange even hits Jay Z with her purse, causing its contents to spill across the elevator floor.
After the intense exchange, the trio exits the elevator, with Solange making a few final gestures before they depart the scene.
While Beyonce and Solange leave together in one vehicle, Jay Z is escorted to a different car by security, indicating a tense aftermath to the incident.
