Jeffrey Jones, known for his role as the principal in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” celebrated his 64th birthday recently but his festivities may be overshadowed by the 250 hours of community service he must complete due to his failure to update his s=x offender status.
The Los Angeles District Attorney spokesperson, Jane Robinson, disclosed that Jones pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a felony charge related to his failure to update his registry information back in June.
Sandi Gibbons, another representative from the District Attorney’s office, mentioned that Jones is expected to carry out tasks such as picking up litter along highways, as reported by E!

Gibbons humorously referred to this duty as making “freeway pumpkins” due to the use of bright orange garbage bags by cleanup crews.
Apart from the community service, Jones, who portrayed the troubled principal Ed Rooney in the iconic movie, will also be put on three years of probation as part of his sentence.
The charge against Jones originates from an incident in 2003 when he pleaded no contest to charges of using a 14-year-old boy to model for s–ually explicit photographs.
