It was a summer to remember for Jennifer Coolidge, renowned for her role in “The White Lotus,” as she spilled the beans on the attention she garnered post-“American Pie.”
During a candid chat with her pal Ariana Grande for Entertainment Weekly's 2022 Entertainers of the Year feature, Coolidge confessed that her portrayal as Stifler's mom in “American Pie” significantly boosted her romantic life.
Reflecting on the influence of the movie, Coolidge, 61, expressed, “‘American Pie' was just — it helped my dating life in a way that I can't ever explain.
If I hadn't had that movie, I don't think … Well, let's just say it would've been a very dull decade.”
Intrigued by Coolidge's revelations, Grande, 29, probed further, eager to uncover the extent of her romantic conquests and identify her most memorable liaison.
Grande tactfully inquired, “You've spoken publicly about the tremendous impact that playing Stifler's mom has had on your life.
In particular, how much d—k it's gotten you.
Do you remember the best d—k you got from playing Stifler's mom?
Do you keep in touch?”
Acknowledging Grande's probing question, Coolidge shared her delight at addressing the topic, clarifying previous jests about her love life post-“American Pie.”
Coolidge disclosed, “No, I'm glad you asked this because, you see, I did say that jokingly [in a previous interview] and, God, you really can't make jokes in our town, because I did make the terrible mistake of saying, ‘Thank God for that movie, I got to sleep with 200 men,' or whatever.
And, look, I would love to say that was true, but I mean, that was sort of an exaggeration — so I'm glad you're asking me.”
To dispel any misconceptions, Coolidge emphasized that the role introduced her to a diverse pool of attractive and younger men, recounting a memorable encounter with a notably youthful gentleman.
Recalling the incident, Coolidge reminisced, “This one guy was particularly young — legal, of course, it was all very legal.
I won't get into the details.
But afterwards, the next morning, I told him I needed to get a blow dry.
So he was so young, we called his mother to see where I could get a blow dry.
It was so weird that happened on the phone — it was very clear that we were in the bed together.”
Grande envisioned herself in the mother's position, expressing excitement at the prospect of interacting with Coolidge under similar circumstances.
Coolidge acknowledged the humor in the situation and revealed that the young man's mother even offered recommendations for a blowout at a nearby mall, concluding that the scenario unfolded seamlessly.
