Jennifer Lawrence, the beloved Hollywood actress known for her humor, recently appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman where she shared a funny story about her experience with poop and a trip to the emergency room.
Lawrence recounted a crazy ordeal she went through when she was rushed to the hospital due to non-stop pooping and severe stomach pains.
With her trademark wit, Lawrence joked about mistaking her condition for an ulcer, only to find out it was a “fulcer” instead.
For three weeks, Lawrence endured excruciating pain and had to make multiple daily trips to the toilet.
Eventually, she reached a point where she realized she needed medical attention.
As she hilariously put it, “you can only s*** your pants so many times a day before you, like, have to go to the emergency room, before you're like, ‘I need to go to the hospital!
‘”
Letterman was momentarily speechless before comparing the conversation to talking to legendary actress Helen Hayes.
Lawrence went on to describe the procedure she underwent to determine the cause of her stomach issues.
She had an endoscopy, a medical examination where she was put to sleep.
Lawrence, known for her curious nature, asked numerous questions before the procedure.
As she drifted off, she could still see the medical equipment approaching her.
Amidst the anesthesia, the nurse advised Lawrence to think of a peaceful place.
However, in her state, all she managed to say before losing consciousness was, “I'm paralyzed!”
When she woke up, she was asked if she had any pleasant dreams.
In typical Lawrence fashion, she replied, “Uh, yeah, I dreamt there was a nuclear bomb going off…”
This is not the first time Lawrence has made headlines for her candid and humorous remarks.
While filming Catching Fire, she famously commented on the lack of camel-toe issues she encountered while wearing a wet suit.
She jokingly expressed her surprise, saying, “I was expecting a lot more.”
