Jennifer Lawrence’s Struggle with n^de Scenes in Red Sparrow

Jennifer Lawrence, known as a confident Hollywood star, has revealed her vulnerability when it comes to filming n^de scenes for her latest movie, Red Sparrow.

The actress expressed her apprehension about disrobing for a specific scene in the film, admitting that she was plagued with anxiety the night before.

In an interview on the Today show in Australia, Lawrence shared her experience, stating, “It was really scary to say yes to the movie because I knew the only way to tell the story is if I agreed to really do the scenes and go full Monty.”

She described the feeling as akin to a nightmare of being exposed in front of a crowd.

The 27-year-old actress takes on the role of Dominika Erogova in Red Sparrow, portraying a Russian ballerina recruited into a Russian intelligence program known as ‘sparrow school'.

The character undergoes training in seduction and manipulation techniques.

Erogova's assignment involves extracting information from an American CIA agent, played by Joel Edgerton, leading to a complex web of emotions.

Throughout the film, Lawrence faced challenging scenes, including moments of torture where freezing water was poured over her body.

Reflecting on the intense filming process, she confessed, “I don't think I have ever been so scared of doing a movie before in my life.

It was a lot of firsts for me.”

Despite her initial fears, Lawrence found a sense of empowerment after completing the demanding scenes.

She humorously recounted her discomfort during the water pouring scenes, highlighting the absurdity of the situation.

The actress's concerns may have been heightened by her past experiences, notably the 2014 hacking incident that exposed personal photos of several celebrities, including Lawrence.

The breach left her grappling with its aftermath, a process she acknowledged in late 2017.

Addressing recent criticisms regarding her wardrobe choices at a photocall, Lawrence defended her decision to wear a revealing Versace dress without a coat in cold weather.

Dismissing claims of sexism, she asserted her right to showcase the attire, emphasizing her love for fashion and personal autonomy.
