In a recent interview on KIIS FM’s Will & Woody radio show in Australia, Joe Jonas shared a humorous yet embarrassing anecdote about a memorable incident that took place during one of his performances.
During the candid conversation, the 33-year-old “Sucker” singer delved into a moment he described as a pivotal point in his adult life — the time he had an unexpected mishap while onstage that led to an impromptu costume change.
Reflecting on the incident that occurred four years ago, Jonas humorously recounted how he found himself in a rather awkward situation that necessitated swift action.
“It’s still fresh in my memory.
I’ve managed to navigate through it with the help of some therapy,” Jonas quipped.
“It was quite a day to decide to wear white attire.
What started off as a seemingly harmless gas turned out to be something more substantial.
Thus, a mid-performance wardrobe alteration became imperative.”
Describing the unanticipated turn of events, Jonas mentioned a noticeable shift in his outfit midway through the show, alluding to the unplanned and unconventional nature of the situation.
“That particular episode remains untold until now, a genuine slice of reality,” Jonas shared candidly.
However, he clarified, “Fortunately, it was a minor mishap, nothing too major, which allowed me to share this peculiar tale.”
Acknowledging the likelihood of existing footage capturing the unexpected incident, Jonas playfully hinted at the prospect of revisiting those moments for amusement.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s visual evidence out there showcasing my transition from white pants to something entirely different,” Jonas teased with a grin.
Despite initial reservations about the potential embarrassment of the situation, Jonas expressed gratitude that the outcome was less dramatic than anticipated.
“At the time, I was convinced that this mishap would be glaringly obvious to everyone, but in reality, it wasn’t as catastrophic as I imagined.
It’s just one of those things that happen in life,” Jonas remarked.
“Many artists have encountered similar experiences, so in a way, it feels like I’ve earned my stripes and become part of a unique collective.”
