During a recent interview on KIIS FM’s Will & Woody radio show in Australia, Joe Jonas shared a humorous and somewhat embarrassing incident that took place four years ago while he was performing on stage with his brothers.
The now 33-year-old pop star admitted to having an accident that involved him pooping his pants, which, unfortunately for him, were white at the time.
Reflecting on the mishap, Jonas humorously mentioned that he has been able to cope with the incident through therapy.
He jokingly commented, “Let’s just say it was not the best day to opt for white attire.
What I thought was a harmless toot turned out to be a bit more, leading to a mid-performance wardrobe change.”
Despite the unexpected turn of events, Jonas revealed that there is evidence of the incident if one were to dig into the archives.
He mentioned a moment during the show where he quickly changed clothes, hinting at the mishap without explicitly stating it.
Fortunately for him, it was not a complete disaster, allowing him to share the anecdote with his audience.
Initially concerned that the audience would notice what had occurred, Jonas later realized that his fears were unfounded, as no one seemed to have caught on to the mishap in real-time.
Reflecting on the experience, he remarked that it was not as catastrophic as he had initially believed, attributing it to being a common occurrence among artists.
He humorously stated, “It’s all a part of life’s rollercoaster.
Many artists have been through similar situations, and I now feel like I’m part of a unique club.”
This exclusive club includes other notable musicians such as Phoebe Bridgers and Ed Sheeran, who have also shared their own stories of dealing with awkward moments on stage.
Bridgers recounted a particular performance where she battled food poisoning but persevered through the show despite feeling unwell.
Despite her discomfort, she managed to finish the performance without any major incidents, making light of the situation during a 2020 Instagram Live session.
