Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie have teamed up once again for Quentin Tarantino's film, “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” marking their first collaboration since their breakthrough roles in “The Wolf of Wall Street” six years ago.
In “The Wolf of Wall Street,” DiCaprio played the corrupt businessman Jordan Belfort, while Robbie portrayed his wife Naomi.
The film propelled Robbie to stardom, earning her recognition as an actress beyond her previous role in the Australian soap opera, “Neighbours.”
During an interview with Australian TV show “The Sunday Project,” DiCaprio reflected on the moment he was impressed by Robbie's acting prowess.
He specifically mentioned a scene where Robbie threw a glass of water in his face, describing it as the moment he realized she had a remarkable presence in cinema.
“‘On Wolf of Wall Street, seeing Margot come in and read that scene with me I just knew I was witnessing a dynamic presence in cinema that was about to be,' he said.
‘[Martin] Scorcese and myself were blown away by how much she gave back to the scene, fought back and we both immediately knew she was going to have an incredible career.'”
Robbie reciprocated the admiration, expressing her disbelief at the opportunity to work with DiCaprio once again.
She also highlighted the differences in their on-screen dynamic in “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” stating that they don't share as many scenes together as they did in their previous film.
“I'm more like a presence as opposed to someone throwing water in your face constantly,” joked Robbie.
Despite the limited screen time together, DiCaprio, Robbie, and Brad Pitt, who is also a lead in “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” appeared to have a great rapport during the film's publicity tour.
Moments such as Robbie's stunning red carpet wardrobe and Pitt photobombing her photocall with ballet jumps delighted fans.
As the anticipation builds for the release of “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” audiences can look forward to witnessing the dynamic performances of DiCaprio and Robbie once again, in their respective roles as a failing actor and the tragic movie star Sharon Tate.
