However, a day later, he was seen running errands, looking just as frail as before.

Wearing a green baseball cap, Liam's wispy hair was barely visible, and he had several days' worth of stubble.

Despite the hot weather, he was dressed in a blue hooded sweater.

In another instance, he tried to go incognito in SoHo, wearing the same pink T-shirt under a grey jacket.

It remains uncertain whether his transformed appearance is for a new film.

Liam recently finished filming a Martin Scorsese movie and will start another one this month.

This sudden change in his appearance has surprised fans, especially after seeing him happy and healthy just a few weeks ago at The Ronald McDonald House in New York.

During this visit, Liam interacted with his younger fans, displaying a fuller figure and shorter hair.

When asked about Liam's recent appearance, his representative assured that he is “never been healthier.”

In addition to his physical transformation, Liam Neeson has announced that he will be retiring from action movies in two years' time.

Known for his iconic “particular set of skills” in films like Taken, Liam predicts that he will no longer participate in action roles after a couple of years.

“I think maybe two more years – if God spares me, and I'm healthy,” Liam told The Guardian.

“But after that, I'll stop [the action].”
