Lindsay Lohan’s Chaotic Behavior on ‘The Canyons’ Set

, despite her eagerness for work opportunities, displayed a lack of professionalism on the set of her latest movie project, “The Canyons,” which had a modest budget of $250,000 and featured adult film actor James Deen.

New York Times reporter Stephen Rodrick, who closely followed the production, revealed that the 26-year-old actress was frequently intoxicated during filming.

Initially, Lohan attempted to avoid attending the initial script reading but reluctantly showed up late when faced with the threat of being fired.

Subsequently, she was dismissed from the film, penned by Bret Easton Ellis, due to her absence from two days of shooting.

To regain her role, Lohan resorted to desperate measures by persistently knocking on doors at the Orlando Hotel until she located director Paul Schrader's room, where she emotionally pleaded for reinstatement while he urged her to leave.

Following a meeting at a bar to address her commitment to the project, Lohan attributed her prior absence to oversleeping after taking a sleeping pill.

Despite her reinstatement, her conduct deteriorated further as she incessantly complained about her co-stars' perceived prominence in the film.

Notably, she lobbied for her ex-boyfriend, , to be cast in a specific role.

During the filming of an intimate scene involving multiple actors, including p^rn stars, Lohan, compensated only $100 per day, consumed excessive alcohol and secluded herself in a closet for an extended period.

Director Schrader ultimately disrobed in an attempt to reassure her about appearing nude, prompting her reluctant return to the set.

Concerned about her inebriation, the producers offered Lohan a chauffeur, which she declined, opting to drive her Porsche instead, the same vehicle she had previously crashed.

Despite uncertainties about her reliability, she continued to exhibit erratic behavior, such as partying until dawn with before arriving late and departing early from the set due to alleged illness.

After the arduous filming process concluded, Schrader arranged a screening of “The Canyons” for Lohan and her mother in New York City.

However, tensions arose during the viewing when Dina Lohan expressed dissatisfaction with the focus on Deen rather than her daughter.

While 's representative refrained from commenting on the situation, Ellis indirectly acknowledged the turmoil through a social media post regarding Lohan's absence from post-production activities.
