In a recent incident, Lindsay Lohan reportedly faced an assault in her Manhattan hotel room during the early hours of Sunday.
The New York police revealed that Lohan had a dispute with a 25-year-old man whom she had met at 1 Oak nightclub in Chelsea.
According to reports from New York TV station WNBC, the altercation arose over photos taken by the man using his cell phone while they were present in Lohan's room on the 15th floor of the W Hotel, accompanied by some of her friends.
The man involved in the incident has been identified as Christian LaBella from California.
Lohan informed investigators that at approximately 4:30 a.m., she noticed the images on LaBella's phone, leading to a confrontation where she confiscated his device.
Subsequently, LaBella allegedly threw her onto the bed, resulting in scratches on her hands, as per police sources.
Following the confrontation, Lohan left the room momentarily but later returned.
Upon encountering LaBella again, she recounted to the police that he physically assaulted her by choking her, throwing her down, and overpowering her.
Fortunately, a companion of Lohan intervened, managing to separate LaBella from her.
In distress, Lohan activated the fire alarm seeking assistance.
Before LaBella could flee the scene, law enforcement officers arrived and apprehended him within the hotel premises.
Lohan declined medical attention and did not seek hospitalization, while LaBella was formally charged with assault and harassment later that Sunday afternoon.
Addressing the incident, Lohan's spokesperson, Steve Honig, stated, “Lindsay was assaulted early this morning in a New York hotel.
While she did sustain some injuries, she was not hospitalized.
The assailant was arrested and is currently in police custody.
Lindsay has spoken with police and is fully cooperating with the investigation.”
Recently, she faced legal trouble when she was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident after reportedly striking a pedestrian with a borrowed Porsche outside a nightclub in New York.
Moreover, Lohan remains under probation related to a case from 2011, where she entered a no contest plea for taking a $2,500 necklace without authorization from a jewelry store in Los Angeles.
Although Lohan completed counseling and community service obligations, she risks potential incarceration if charged with another offense, even though she is no longer required to report to a judge.
