Actress Lindsay Lohan, known for her role in Mean Girls, has found herself in a desperate financial situation after squandering a staggering $7 million in just one year on extravagant partying.
The 21-year-old star's spending habits spiraled out of control between 2006 and 2007, with reports suggesting she spent $1 million solely on clothes.
Additionally, she splurged $500,000 each on a luxury hotel suite at the renowned Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, wild nights out, and a personal chauffeur.
In an attempt to address her drug and alcohol problems, Lohan recently completed a stint at the Cirque Lodge in Utah.
However, her return to Los Angeles was not entirely voluntary.
Sources reveal that the actress, currently undergoing outpatient treatment, is compelled to come back to Hollywood to replenish her depleted finances.
The financial toll from her tumultuous lifestyle is evident, as Lohan has already spent a substantial $137,000 on rehab facilities.
Furthermore, her legal troubles stemming from two driving-under-the-influence (DUI) arrests this year have incurred an additional $350,000 in legal fees.
