Gianni Russo, famous for his role in “The Godfather,” recently disclosed that he lost his virginity to the iconic Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe when he was just 15 years old, while she was 33.
According to Russo, their relationship continued until Monroe's untimely death at the age of 36 in 1962.
The 75-year-old actor shared this surprising revelation with thesun.co.uk, stating that Monroe played a significant role in shaping him as a man.
He even went on to say that if their encounter had taken place today, Monroe would likely face legal consequences, and his parents might have attempted to exploit the situation for financial gain.
Russo recounted the story in his memoir, titled “Hollywood Godfather: My Life In The Mob And Movies.”
He described how he first met Monroe while working at a hair salon in New York.
Initially, he was captivated by her stardom, but after several encounters, he saw her as a regular person with an extraordinary physique.
One day, one of Monroe's advisors invited Russo to her suite at the Waldorf Hotel, where she was staying.
Expecting to assist her with her hair, Russo was surprised to find Monroe alone in an unkempt room that resembled a scene from a disaster movie.
Despite the disarray, Monroe, wrapped in a white towel, greeted him with a glass of champagne.
She then dropped her towel and invited him to join her in the bath.
Nervous and unsure of what to do, Russo undressed and cautiously entered the tub.
He admitted feeling inexperienced and uncertain about Monroe's expectations.
However, the weekend they spent together in bed was nothing short of incredible.
They only left the bed when necessary, ordering room service and enjoying the entire experience.
Russo returned to work on Monday morning, feeling like he had awakened from a dream.
He chose to keep their encounter a secret, not only to maintain his gentlemanly reputation but also because he believed no one would believe him.
Despite this, Russo continued to have an intimate relationship with Monroe, keeping it hidden from the public eye.
It wasn't until years later, during the pre-production of “The Godfather,” that Russo finally revealed their connection.
While discussing Monroe's life and lamenting her early death, Marlon Brando, another one of Monroe's lovers, asked Russo if he had been intimate with her.
To prove his claim, Brando challenged Russo to disclose something intimate about Monroe's body.
Russo responded by pointing to a scar on his upper right thigh and admitted that their affair took place when he was almost 16, while Monroe was 33.
Although Russo felt remorseful for sharing this information with Brando, he couldn't deny the truth.
Gianni Russo's revelation sheds light on a previously unknown chapter in Marilyn Monroe's life, highlighting the impact she had on those around her.
The story serves as a testament to Monroe's allure and s**ual magnetism, as recalled by her former lover, Marlon Brando.
Despite the passing of time, the memory of their passionate encounter remains etched in Russo's mind, forever connecting him to the legendary Marilyn Monroe.
