Shock rocker Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, has been hit with a new lawsuit accusing him of s**ually assaulting and raping an underage girl.
The anonymous plaintiff, referred to as Jane Doe, claims that Manson assaulted her multiple times on his tour bus between 1995 and 1999.
According to the lawsuit filed in New York's Nassau County Supreme Court, Manson also threatened to harm her family if she disclosed the incidents.
In addition to the allegations against Manson, the lawsuit targets his former record labels, Interscope Music and Nothing Records, claiming they were aware of his abusive behavior.
The lawsuit asserts that the record labels not only knew about Manson's obsession with child p0rn0 and pedophilia but also actively promoted it for financial gain.
Jane Doe's attorney, Karen Barth Menzies, stated that the lawsuit goes beyond holding the individual predator accountable and highlights the complicity of the music industry in protecting and enabling s**ual predators.
The plaintiff's allegations paint a disturbing picture of Manson's actions and shed light on the culture that allowed such behavior to persist.
According to the lawsuit, Jane Doe first encountered Manson in Dallas, Texas, in 1995 outside a concert venue.
Along with three other underage female fans, she was waiting to meet the singer.
Manson allegedly questioned their ages, school grades, and the whereabouts of their parents before inviting Jane Doe and another young girl onto his tour bus.
It was there that Manson subjected Jane Doe to various acts of criminal s**ual conduct, including forced copulation and vaginal penetration.
The lawsuit further reveals that one of Manson's band members witnessed the assault, leaving Jane Doe feeling scared, humiliated, and confused.
After the assault, Manson threatened her, warning that he would kill her and her family if she ever spoke out about the abuse.
The suit alleges that Manson's manager later gave Jane Doe his contact information, encouraging her to stay in touch.
Manson would subsequently call her at home, soliciting explicit s**ual photos from her and her friends.
The lawsuit goes on to describe additional instances of abuse, including another s**ual assault on Manson's tour bus in 1995 and multiple incidents of s**ual coercion and abuse when Jane Doe was 19 years old in 1999.
These revelations come after other women, including Manson's ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood, came forward in 2021 with allegations of abuse against the musician.
Wood accused Manson of grooming and horrifically abusing her for years.
Following these accusations, Manson was dropped by his record label, and several lawsuits were filed against him.
Manson has since filed a defamation lawsuit against Wood and her girlfriend, Ilma Gore, claiming that they fabricated s**ual abuse allegations to tarnish his reputation.
The outcome of these legal battles remains to be seen, but they shed light on the pervasive issue of abuse in the music industry.
It is crucial to support and believe survivors who come forward, ensuring that those responsible for such reprehensible acts are held accountable.
