A recent episode of the podcast “The Killing Of Marilyn Monroe” has uncovered distressing details about the late actress's last weekend alive.
The seventh installment of the series, which delves into Monroe's tumultuous life and career, exposes the harrowing ordeal she endured on July 28 and 29, 1962, just days before her untimely death.
According to the podcast's narrator, Monroe was lured by her ex-partner, Frank Sinatra, to his Cal Neva Lodge resort in Lake Tahoe, California under the pretense of discussing a movie project.
However, it was later revealed that Sinatra's true motive was driven by orders from mob boss Sam Giancana.
Giancana wanted Sinatra to involve the Kennedys in an attempt to catch Monroe engaging in an affair with President John F. Kennedy and his brother, Bobby Kennedy.
Unbeknownst to Monroe, her room at the resort was fully equipped with hidden cameras, and an elaborate party was organized that put her in grave danger, according to the podcast.
Entertainment journalist Charles Casillo, who appeared on the episode, stated that Monroe was in a state of distress, heavily relying on alcohol and medication.
He added, “Marilyn Monroe was afraid for her life.
It was a situation that spiraled out of control.”
Author Fabulous Gabriel further emphasized that Monroe was taken advantage of, drugged, and subjected to a wild party.
The podcast revealed the full extent of the trauma Monroe experienced during her final weekend.
In addition to being drugged, she allegedly overdosed and required assistance from the men present in the room.
Further intensifying Monroe's vulnerability, experts disclosed in the podcast that the actress had reportedly been physically assaulted by Giancana.
Monroe's involvement with President JFK and Bobby Kennedy made her a target for the mob's attempt to manipulate and blackmail the influential political family.
Previous episodes of the podcast revealed that she had been under surveillance by the FBI and CIA due to her knowledge of the Kennedy brothers' secrets.
Surprisingly, even Monroe's ex-husband, Joe DiMaggio, did not come to her rescue during her final weekend.
According to the episode, Sinatra instructed DiMaggio to “mind your own business,” leaving Monroe without any support from a person who had previously protected her from dangerous situations.
The terrifying events of the weekend left Monroe shattered.
Private investigator Becky Altringer stated that the Hollywood icon had reached a point where she was tired of being used.
Monroe was found dead in her home on August 5, 1962, just days after the distressing weekend.
While some believed she had taken her own life due to her well-known struggles with suicidal thoughts, others suspected foul play.
In upcoming episodes of “The Killing of Marilyn Monroe,” listeners will delve into the actress's secret life, uncovering never-before-heard details.
The series explores Monroe's career, marriages, affairs, and much more.
Produced by the creators of the Natalie Wood podcast “Fatal Voyage: The Mysterious Death of Natalie,” a new episode of the Monroe podcast is released every week.
