Meghan Markle's half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., has taken a stand against the upcoming royal wedding by writing a strongly worded letter to Prince Harry.
In an exclusive report by In Touch Weekly, the handwritten note was published yesterday, where the estranged sibling deems Harry and Meghan's union as “the biggest mistake in royal wedding history.”
Thomas blames the bride-to-be for abandoning their father, Thomas Markle Sr., and goes on to describe her as a “jaded, shallow, conceited” woman.
Addressed to Prince Harry, the letter begins with Thomas stating, “Dear Prince Harry, It's not too late.
Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you.”
As the royal wedding draws closer, he asserts that it becomes increasingly evident that this marriage will be remembered as a colossal blunder.
He also criticizes Meghan for attempting to portray herself as a princess, comparing her acting skills to that of a below-average Hollywood actress.
Furthermore, Thomas accuses his half-sister of exploiting their father until he faced bankruptcy, only to abandon him in Mexico while burdened with debts.
He claims that when it came time for Meghan to repay her father, she conveniently forgot about his existence.
Although Thomas claims their father did not receive an invitation to the wedding, conflicting reports suggest that Thomas Sr. will walk Meghan down the aisle.
Kensington Palace has yet to confirm his role or attendance at the ceremony.
In a scathing remark, Thomas Jr. suggests that Meg's true colors are shining through, stating, “My father will never recover financially from paying Meghan's way, nor emotionally from her disavowal.
Meg is showing her true colors.”
He later adds that if it wasn't for their father, Meghan would be working odd jobs to pay off her debts.
As if the insults weren't enough, Thomas Jr. continues to express his disdain for his estranged sister, accusing her of being consumed by her minuscule amount of fame and transforming into a self-absorbed woman who will make a mockery of Prince Harry and the royal family's heritage.
Despite his harsh words, Thomas Jr. acknowledges that Meghan holds the power over her own future: “She IS family, so whatever happens is up to her.”
Currently residing in Oregon, Thomas Jr., now 51, has not seen Meghan since 2011, when they both attended their grandmother's funeral, according to Daily Mail reports.
He joins a growing list of Meghan's relatives who have publicly voiced their opinions about her relationship with Prince Harry following their engagement announcement.
Tyler Dooley, Thomas Jr.'s son, and Tracy, his ex-wife, recently revealed to UK news outlets that they did not receive invitations to the wedding.
Samantha Markle, Meghan's half-sister and author of the upcoming memoir The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister, has also criticized Meghan, labeling her a “social climber.”
The exact number of Meghan's biological relatives who were invited to the wedding remains unknown.
