Lizzie Cundey, a former friend of Meghan Markle, revealed on GB News today how the Duchess of Sussex once sought a role on the popular British TV show, Made in Chelsea.
Recalling her initial encounter with Meghan, Lizzie shared how she was asked to keep an eye on her at a charity event, not knowing who she was at the time.
It was during this event that Meghan expressed her aspirations for a boyfriend, a career in British television, and a spot on Made in Chelsea.
With a desire to help Meghan achieve her dreams, Lizzie attempted to set her up with former Chelsea star Ashley Cole.
However, Meghan's interest lay in finding a British man to date.
Little did she know that her quest for love would lead her to Prince Harry, whom she eventually married in 2018 after a blind date at Soho House in 2016.
The road to finding love was not without its bumps, as Meghan reportedly turned down a date with Ashley Cole upon learning about his past.
Despite the advice of friends to steer clear of the footballer, Meghan decided to focus on her own journey to happiness.
Prior to meeting Prince Harry, Meghan had gone through a traumatic divorce from her first husband, Trevor Engelson, and was seeking a fresh start in the UK.
Following their marriage, Meghan and Harry welcomed two children, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor and Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
In 2020, the couple made the decision to step back as senior members of the royal family and relocated to the United States with their young family.
In a separate royal news update, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, made headlines for revealing that she has not received an invitation to King Charles' coronation.
Despite her close ties to the royal family, including a strong bond with the late Queen Elizabeth II, Sarah expressed uncertainty about attending the historic event.
During an interview with Samantha Barry from Glamour magazine, Sarah humorously remarked that it remains to be seen whether she will ultimately be invited to the coronation.
As she navigates her royal connections and the anticipation surrounding King Charles' coronation, Sarah Ferguson continues to embrace her unique position within the British monarchy.
With her candid remarks and charming demeanor, the Duchess of York remains a captivating figure in the world of royalty and beyond.
