Mick Jagger Unveils the Key to a ‘Happy’ Bond with Keith Richards in The Rolling Stones

The frontman of The Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger, disclosed the crucial element that has preserved a ‘happy' connection between himself and the co-founder of the band, Keith Richards.

In a live youtube press event yesterday (6th September) with late night host Jimmy Fallon, the renowned trio, comprising Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Mick Jagger, revealed the launch of their latest album, Hackney Diamonds.

This album marks their first collection of original songs since the release of A Bigger Bang in 2005, which interestingly debuted precisely 18 years ago on 6th September.

Broadcasting from the iconic Hackney Empire in London's vibrant heart, the band shared a treasure trove of captivating news.

They announced the inclusion of notable guest appearances by artists like Stevie Wonder and .

Additionally, it was revealed that the late drummer Charlie Watts would feature on the album through previously recorded tracks from before his passing.

Bantering and exchanging jokes with Fallon, who displayed evident excitement, delving into details about the band's illustrious history and even attempting a Jagger impersonation, Mick had to restrain him from getting too carried away.

One particular question that piqued interest revolved around the band's enduring success.

In a somewhat ironic retort, Richards interjected with, “Learning to express silence!”

Softening his statement afterward, the guitarist added that it's about mastering the art of conveying silence in a polite manner.

Mick and Keith's friendship dates back to their childhood days in 1950 when they were schoolmates.

After a period of estrangement, a serendipitous encounter at a train station led them to establish a band in 1961, ultimately evolving into The Rolling Stones.

Their enduring bond, spanning six decades, has captivated media attention, with their tumultuous yet enduring companionship generating countless headlines.

Despite weathering numerous storms, notably during the strained phase in the 1980s when many songs from their 1986 album Dirty Work contained pointed references to each other, the duo has persevered.

It's only natural that after navigating life together for eight decades, there might have been a few terse exchanges.

Besides, they are rockstars – a bit of tumult is expected.

Today, The Rolling Stones burst back onto the scene with the launch of their energetic single ‘Angry' (Listen Here.)

Simultaneously, they announced the forthcoming release of their highly awaited new album, ‘Hackney Diamonds,' scheduled for October 20th.
