Actress Mischa Barton found herself in trouble as she was arrested on Thursday morning for suspected driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of marijuana.
The incident occurred when sheriff’s deputies spotted her car straddling two lanes of traffic while she was driving along La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood around 2:45 a.m.
According to a press statement from the sheriff’s office, deputies observed Barton’s vehicle straddling lanes and not signaling for a turn, prompting them to intervene.
Upon further investigation during Barton’s detention, it was revealed that she did not possess a valid driver’s license and was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

John Hocking confirmed that Barton was taken into custody for suspected DUI, driving without a license, possession of a controlled substance, and having marijuana in her possession.
Following her arrest, she spent approximately seven hours in the West Hollywood jail before being released on bail set at $10,000.
A court appearance has been scheduled for February 28.
Despite attempts to reach out to her manager and publicist for comments, there has been no immediate response from their end regarding the incident.
