Natalie Wood’s Alleged Assault by Kirk Douglas Revealed in New Book

When Hollywood icon Kirk Douglas passed away at the remarkable age of 103 in 2020, it sparked conversations about his legacy.

However, alongside his name, another significant figure emerged on Twitter – Natalie Wood.

The late actress's younger sister, Lana, recently disclosed shocking details in her upcoming book regarding a traumatic event involving 16-year-old Natalie and a prominent individual at the Chateau Marmont hotel in 1955.

In her forthcoming memoir titled “Little Sister: My Investigation Into the Mysterious Death of Natalie Wood,” Lana recounts the night she and their mother dropped off Natalie at the Chateau Marmont.

Lana vividly describes how Natalie appeared stunning that evening, setting the scene for the distressing incident that allegedly unfolded later.

According to Lana, the perpetrator behind the assault was none other than Kirk Douglas, a revelation that had long been speculated but never confirmed until now.

Maria Zakharenko, the girls' mother, had orchestrated a meeting between Natalie and Douglas with hopes of advancing her daughter's career prospects through his influence.

Lana recalls the unsettling aftermath of that encounter – Natalie's disheveled state and the secretive huddles between her and their mother.

Despite witnessing Natalie's distress, Lana was kept in the dark about the exact nature of the incident due to her young age at the time.

The trauma inflicted upon Natalie remained unspoken between the sisters until they reached adulthood.

It was during this later stage of life that Natalie confided in Lana about the assault, revealing the emotional turmoil she had endured.

Lana discloses that Natalie, driven by fear and confusion, chose to keep the assault hidden to protect her reputation in the entertainment industry, heeding their mother's advice to remain silent about the ordeal.

In his autobiography “The Ragman's Son” published in 1988, Douglas references an encounter with Natalie, recalling a brief interaction where she requested his signature.

He fondly reminisces about their first meeting and subsequent encounters before Natalie's tragic death in a boating accident off Catalina Island in 1981.

The circumstances surrounding Natalie's demise have long been shrouded in mystery, prompting ongoing investigations and theories about foul play.

Following Natalie's untimely passing, suspicions arose regarding her husband Robert Wagner's involvement in the events leading up to her drowning.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reopened the case in 2011 amid lingering uncertainties surrounding Natalie's death, eventually altering the cause of death to “drowning and other undetermined factors.”

By 2018, Wagner was identified as a person of interest in the investigation, a claim he vehemently denies.

Having safeguarded her sister's secret for decades, Lana felt compelled to reveal the truth following the deaths of both Douglas and Natalie.

She believes that with no one left to protect, it is time to shed light on the painful chapter of Natalie's life.

In response to the allegations, Kirk Douglas' son Michael Douglas expressed his desire for both individuals to find peace in their eternal rest, acknowledging the gravity of the revelations unveiled in Lana's narrative.
