Christina Fulton, the mother of Nicolas Cage's only child, has filed a lawsuit seeking $13 million in damages, alleging that the Academy Award-winning actor evicted her from their home and subjected her and their son to “mental, physical, and emotional” mistreatment.
According to legal documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Fulton reveals that Cage purchased a house for her after she decided to put her acting career on hold to raise their son, Weston Copolla Cage, who was born on December 26, 1990.
Cage had allegedly assured her that he would transfer the property title to her if she ever wished to sell it.
Despite promises made by Cage, Fulton claims that he never followed through with transferring the title and instead served her with a 60-day eviction notice in September.
The lawsuit highlights that despite making plans for a wedding, exchanging rings, and organizing ceremonies, Cage and Fulton never officially tied the knot.
Their relationship spanned around four years, during which Fulton endured what she describes as unbearable mental, physical, and emotional abuse from Cage, leading her and Weston to eventually leave their shared residence.
Since their departure, Fulton asserts that she has been the sole caregiver for Weston.
In addition to Cage, the lawsuit also names Cage's business manager, Sam Levin, as a defendant, alleging that Levin's actions resulted in Fulton losing over a million dollars in taxes.
Notably, Cage initiated legal action against Levin in November, alleging that the former manager enriched himself with substantial business management fees at Cage's expense, contributing to Cage's financial downfall.
