Ryan Reynolds has been on a whirlwind journey while promoting the hit movie Deadpool 2.
During his recent appearance on BBC1's ‘Playground Insults', Reynolds engaged in a banter session with his co-star from Deadpool 2, Josh Brolin, where they playfully exchanged jabs about their respective careers.
Known for his quirky promotional stunts, Reynolds has entertained fans by donning a unicorn costume to croon on a Korean TV program, sharing a dance with Celine Dion, and offering apologies to David Beckham.
In the playful exchange on ‘Playground Insults', Brolin, who portrays the antagonist Cable in the film, wasted no time before delivering a cutting remark.
“You're tall, good-looking, and sport just the right amount of scruff – yet your talent remains elusive,” Brolin quipped.
Unfazed, Reynolds fired back, reminding Brolin of his past glory as a nominee for the best kiss at the 1998 MTV Awards.
Not one to relent, Brolin then took a swipe at Reynolds' ill-fated venture in the movie Green Lantern, suggesting it marked the end of his career.
“Why persist in a failed endeavor?”
he teased.
“None can grasp the rationale behind it.”
Attempting to retaliate, Reynolds made a sly reference to Brolin's role in the beloved classic Goonies, but swiftly retreated, sensing he might have crossed a line.
“You felt a twinge of guilt there, didn't you?”
Brolin prodded playfully.
In a typical display of self-deprecating humor, Reynolds resorted to poking fun at himself when Brolin confessed to never having watched Green Lantern.
“Neither have I; the editor probably missed it too!”
Reynolds quipped with a self
