Priscilla Presley, the ex-wife of the late legendary musician Elvis Presley, has once again refuted claims that she and Elvis were involved romantically when she was underage.
During a press conference at the Venice Film Festival, just before the screening of Sofia Coppola's film ‘Priscilla', which is based on Priscilla's memoir ‘Elvis and Me' from 1985, Priscilla addressed the issue.
She firmly stated that their relationship did not become s**ual during this stage.
According to People magazine, Priscilla, now 78, explained that Elvis always respected her age and emphasized that they shared an immediate connection when they met on a military base in Germany.
They felt comfortable talking to each other, but their relationship was not based on physical intimacy.
Priscilla clarified, “People think, ‘Oh, it was s**.' No, it wasn't.
He was very kind, very soft, very loving, but he also respected the fact I was only 14 years old.
We were more in line in thought, and that was our relationship.”
She further revealed that what drew Elvis to her was her ability to listen and be there for him emotionally.
This connection led them to continue seeing each other even after Elvis returned to the United States.
Despite their eventual divorce in 1972, Priscilla still referred to Elvis as “the love of my life” while discussing the film about their relationship.
Coppola's movie features Jacob Elordi, 26, and Cailee Spaeny, 25, portraying the roles of Elvis and Priscilla, respectively.
