The confirmation has been made by Jennifer Lee, Richard Pryor's widow, that Richard Pryor and Marlon Brando had a relationship in the 1970s.
Speculation arose after Quincy Jones mentioned in an interview with Vulture that Marlon Brando was involved with various individuals, including Richard Pryor, James Baldwin, and Marvin Gaye.
Jennifer Lee, who was married to Pryor during the early 1980s and later in the 2000s until his passing, acknowledged the truth of the matter and stated that Pryor would not have felt any shame regarding the relationship.
She emphasized the era in which it occurred, stating, “It was the '70s!
Drugs were still good, especially quaaludes.
If you did enough cocaine, you'd f–k a radiator and send it flowers in the morning.”
According to Lee, Pryor, who died in 2005, was open about his bisexuality, indicating a level of acceptance and honesty about his personal life.
This revelation sheds light on Pryor's willingness to embrace his identity and experiences.
