Actor Rob Lowe has reached a resolution in his legal dispute with ex-nanny Jessica Gibson, following a tumultuous year-long clash involving allegations of extortion and inappropriate behavior, as reported by People.com.
Court documents reveal that both parties have mutually agreed to dismiss their lawsuits, although details regarding any financial settlement remain undisclosed due to the silence of the attorneys involved.
The confrontation began in April 2008 when Lowe initiated legal action against Gibson in the Santa Barbara Superior Court, accusing her of attempting to extort $1.5 million from him.
In response, within days of this lawsuit, Gibson, who had been in Lowe's employ for seven years, counter-sued the actor and his spouse for s**ual harassment, alleging instances where Lowe exposed himself to her and made unwanted advances
