Robin Williams’ Tragic Demise: New Details Revealed

According to Marin County's assistant chief deputy coroner Lt. Keith Boyd, Williams was discovered with a belt fastened around his neck, secured between the closed closet door and the door frame in his residence in unincorporated Tiburon, Calif.

Williams, an Oscar-winning performer, was found deceased on Monday, with initial reports suggesting suicide as the cause of death.

Boyd mentioned during a press briefing in San Rafael, Calif., that Williams was located by his assistant, who grew concerned after receiving no response to attempts to contact him.

Subsequently, the actor's assistant uncovered the distressing scene at 11:45 a.m., leading to the prompt alerting of authorities through a 911 call at 11:55 a.m.

Authorities confirmed Williams' demise at 12:02 p.m. on Monday, refraining from disclosing the presence of a suicide note.

With ongoing investigations into Williams' recent battle with depression and potential drug involvement, the coroner anticipates toxicology results within two to six weeks.

While the preliminary cause of death points to asphyxiation due to suspected suicide, Boyd emphasized that the conclusive determination awaits the conclusion of the investigation.
