In a remarkable act of heroism, British actress Jane Seymour has disclosed that Roger Moore rescued her from a life-threatening situation on the set of the James Bond film “Live And Let Die” back in 1973.
During the shooting of the climactic scenes for Moore’s first appearance as Agent 007, an error made by a crew member resulted in Seymour, now 61 years old, being left perilously close to a gaping hole in the ground.
Without hesitation, Moore reacted swiftly, grabbing hold of Seymour’s hair and pulling her to safety just moments before disaster struck.
Recalling the incident, Seymour shared, “It was during the voodoo scene, and I was tied up, awaiting rescue by Bond.
The plan was for us to descend into a grave together, but everything went terribly wrong.”
She further explained to Hello!
magazine, “The gravestone was actually a disguised forklift truck, and due to a mistake made by the operator, it collapsed.”
Had it not been for Moore’s quick thinking and bravery, Seymour could have fallen into the abyss.
