Russell Crowe has hit back at Howard Stern following comments made by the radio host about the actor's weight.
According to reports, Stern criticized Crowe's figure on a recent episode of his US radio show, boasting about his own fitness regime and stating that he works hard “to stay thin and in shape” unlike Crowe.
Crowe responded to Stern's comments after a fan brought them to his attention on Twitter.
In what seemed to be a lighthearted manner, Crowe replied to Stern's jibe, saying, “I can bench press young Howard.
He cannot say the same.”
Earlier this month, Crowe hinted at the possibility of having a role in the highly anticipated Deadpool 2.
The sequel to last year's successful Marvel Comics adaptation, which grossed $783 million worldwide, is currently in development.
In February, Crowe suggested that his involvement in the film would depend on its star, Ryan Reynolds.
However, Brad Pitt has also been linked to the same role in Deadpool 2 that Crowe has reportedly shown interest in.
Other actors rumored for the role include Michael Shannon and Pierce Brosnan.
