Salma Hayek Alleges Harvey Weinstein Threatened Her Life

has bravely come forward to share her experiences working with , detailing instances of unwanted s**ual advances and threats of violence.

In a compelling essay published in the New York Times, the Oscar-nominated actor reveals that she spent years rejecting the disgraced producer's demands for s**ual favors.

Hayek joins the growing number of women in Hollywood who have accused Weinstein of similar misconduct.

Hayek recounts numerous occasions where she refused Weinstein's advances, including refusing to open the door for him at all hours of the night in various hotels and locations.

She also rejected his requests for her to shower with him, let him watch her shower, or receive massages from him or his acquaintances.

Additionally, she refused his proposition for oral s** and engaging in n^dty with another woman.

According to Hayek, every refusal was met with Harvey's furious reaction.

While he often attempted to manipulate her with sweet-talk, threats were also part of his tactics.

In one instance, infuriated by her rejection, he allegedly said, “I will kill you, don't think I can't.”

starred in , a biopic about the renowned artist Kahlo, which was produced by Weinstein.

After refusing his advances, she claims that he attempted to remove her from the project, despite her instrumental role in its creation.

Only after meeting his demands concerning the script and budget did he agree to let her continue as the lead.

However, during the production, Weinstein criticized Hayek for not exploiting her physical attributes enough.

He proposed that she film a s** scene with another woman, insisting on full-frontal nudity.

Hayek reluctantly agreed to save the movie from collapsing.

However, this decision took a toll on her mental well-being, leading to a nervous breakdown on set.

Despite the challenges, Frida received six Oscar nominations, including one for Hayek as best actress.

Even after the film's release, Hayek claims that Weinstein continued to terrify her.

Hayek concludes her essay by emphasizing the need for equality in the industry, stating that until men and women are valued equally in every aspect, the entertainment community will remain fertile ground for predators.

She expresses gratitude for those who are listening to these stories and hopes that her voice adds weight to the ongoing conversation surrounding s**ual misconduct.

Salma Hayek's allegations add to the growing testimonies from women in Hollywood, including Ashley Judd, Rose McGowan, and Annabella Sciorra, who have accused of s**ual impropriety.

Weinstein has consistently denied any criminal behavior.

His lawyer released a statement earlier this month asserting that Weinstein has never committed an act of s**ual assault.

They argue that claims of impolitic behavior or consensual s**ual contact later regretted should not be equated with false accusations of criminal conduct.

In response to Hayek's essay, Weinstein's spokesperson stated that he does not recall pressuring her to film a gratuitous s** scene with a female co-star and that he was not present during the filming.

They also expressed Weinstein's pride in Hayek's Academy Award nomination for Frida and his continued support for her work.
