The internet rumors about Samuel L. Jackson have been confirmed by the man himself!
In a recent episode of The Tonight Show, the 73-year-old actor shared some amusing tidbits about himself that have been circulating online.
One of the stories that Jackson verified is the time he accidentally defeated pro golfer Tiger Woods during a golf game.
Recounting the incident to host Jimmy Fallon, Jackson mentioned how he was paired with Woods at St. Andrews for the Dunhill golf tournament.
Despite being given a handicap of 16, Jackson managed to outscore Woods by around eight strokes, jokingly attributing it to following Woods closely during the game.
When it comes to his craft, Jackson also disclosed that he prefers not to do more than three takes of a scene if possible.
According to the Spider-Man actor, he believes that actors should have a solid reason for needing more than three takes to get a scene right.
Regarding the directors' requests for additional takes, Jackson mentioned that while he has been asked to do extra takes for fun, he doesn't always comply.
He emphasized that since he doesn't have access to the editing room, it's crucial for directors to decide on the best shots during filming.
Wrapping up the segment, Fallon inquired about a rumor involving Jackson having a special acronym engraved on his lightsaber by the Star Wars prop team.
Jackson clarified that the team did it out of affection for him, not at his request.
The acronym ‘BMF' was etched on the lightsaber, with Jackson humorously decoding it as “Bad, my friend.”
Showing a photo of the personalized lightsaber, Fallon expressed admiration for the gesture, highlighting the love and respect the team had for Jackson.
The actor reciprocated the sentiment with a smile, acknowledging the special bond he shares with the Star Wars crew.
