Never-before-seen photographs allegedly depicting a hidden pregnancy of the iconic Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe have now come to light.
These exclusive images of the renowned actress and model from “Some Like It Hot” were recently auctioned in Hollywood last year from the estate of Frieda Hull, a close confidante of Monroe.
Surprisingly, these remarkable photos were sold for a mere $2,240, with collectors unaware of their true significance.
DailyMail.com has obtained these six distinct images that Hull referred to as the ‘pregnant slides,' hinting at a startling secret that Monroe kept concealed until her passing.
Captured on July 8, 1960, outside Fox Studios in New York, these pictures were taken after Monroe's costume and hair tests for the film “The Misfits,” in which she starred alongside Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift.
Marilyn Monroe, the legendary film icon, was photographed by her friend Frieda Hull on July 8, 1960, outside Fox Studios in New York.
These images unmistakably reveal a noticeable protrusion in Monroe's belly, suggesting that she was in the early stages of pregnancy.
Monroe, who deeply desired to have a child, had faced several miscarriages before this particular pregnancy loss, all of which unfolded publicly.
The evident bump in the images indicated by Hull suggested that Monroe was indeed expecting.
Moreover, it was disclosed that the presumed father of the child was not Monroe's husband at the time, playwright Arthur Miller, but rather the Italian-French actor Yves Montand, with whom she had a well-known affair during the filming of “Let's Make Love.”
As per Tony Michaels, who purchased the color slides at a Marilyn Memorabilia Auction, Frieda Hull had shared with him the story behind Monroe's covert pregnancy.
According to Hull, Monroe was pregnant during the summer of 1960, and these slides serve as concrete evidence of that fact.
In a tragic turn of events, Marilyn Monroe kept her pregnancy confidential from the public eye before experiencing a heartbreaking loss during a hospital visit.
The auction of items from the Frieda Hull estate included over 550 candid snapshots, 150 color slides, nearly 750 movie stills, and personal home movies, showcasing an extensive collection of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia symbolizing a deep connection between Hull and the star.
Despite the staggering claims made by Tony Michaels regarding Monroe's pregnancy, the truth remains unverifiable due to the passing of both Monroe and Yves Montand.
However, the intriguing account shared by Michaels sheds light on Frieda Hull's unwavering loyalty to preserving the memory of Marilyn Monroe.
